Derrick Evans MBE, better known as "Mr Motivator" is a health and wellbeing consultant.  He rose to fame in the early nineties through appearances on breakfast TV, recognised for his fabulous range of bum bags, colourful spandex outfits and fun approach to exercise.

During the COVID-19 pandemic he returned to the small screen on the BBC.  He also started  providing free weekly Zoom workouts in aid of his charity for the homeless.  The Leg Club have been On The Move With Mr Motivator since June 2020 with members supporting his free classes.

Last year, Mr Motivator was awarded an MBE for his services to the health and wellbeing of the UK. In March 2021, Mr Motivator launched his new health and fitness platform,  www.mrmotivatorsclub.com, offering a host of wellbeing content from his own workouts to mindfulness, yoga and nutrition all supported by a team of fitness and wellness consultants. The Legs Club sponsored exercises have been added to the platform.  The sponsored exercises are designed to improve blood flow, circulation and increase heart efficiency; important aspects which have been clinically proven to benefit lower leg conditions.

The importance of exercise and the involvement of Derrick with the Leg Club was documented in the Journal of Community Nursing in an article written by Ellie Lindsay OBE. Lindsay E. & Lobley. J. (2021) Leg Clubs, exercise and Mr Motivator. JCN 2021, Vol 35 (4)

Derrick particularly wants to help improve the quality of life for what he calls the “forgotten groups”; making movement and exercise accessible to all, regardless of age, ability or health condition.
