Julie worked for MA Healthcare for 13 years in various roles within the editorial department. She was the launch editor of the British Journal of Healthcare Assistants before becoming the editor of the British Journal of Community Nursing. She then moved on to edit the British Journal of Nursing, including supplements covering tissue viability, oncology nursing, IV therapy and more. She also held senior management positions, including Associate Publisher and Editorial Director of MA Healthcare.

Since September 2019, Julie has been Content Director at EIDO Healthcare - a company specialising in patient information to support informed consent. She is a member of the Patient Information Forum steering group and a Topic Leader on patient information for the Patient Safety Learning Hub. 
 
Julie is passionate about clear, accessible information for patients and clinicians and is delighted to support The Lindsay Leg Club Foundation as a trustee.
