Mr Mo Girach BSc (Hon), MBA - Business Strategist

Mo GirachPrior to setting up his own, Mo was Chief Executive of South East London Doctors Co-Operative (SELDOC), one of the largest GP co-operatives in the UK with some 500 principal GP members. Mo was instrumental in changing the structure/governance of SELDOC and with the new corporate platform diversified the organization into a number of subsidiary businesses.

Mo has a BSc (Hons) in Podiatric Medicine and a Masters in Business Administration (major in Strategic Management) and just completed the Chartered Directors programme at the Institute of Directors. He has spent a varied career in NHS Management, commencing as a Podiatrist, followed by management trainee with various posts to include: Mental Health, Primary Care and Community Services, Commissioning and Performance Management.

Mo set up the first International Health Co-operative Conference in the UK with speakers from a number of countries. He has spoken and written on primary care/health cooperatives issues locally, nationally and internationally and has advised a number of GP Cooperatives in UK ,Europe, and South America.

Mo's experience and knowledge led him to lead on Practice Based Commissioning (PBC) whilst at SELDOC. He has written and spoken on PBC at national level on this subject and continues to be an advisor to a number of PBC groups in the country. Mo is also advising PCT on setting up arms length Provider Units and setting up GP profit making Provider Units

Mo is a member of the NHS Forward Thinking Group, and holds membership of the Institute of Directors, is an accredited assessor for Investors in People, member of the NHS Forward Thinking Group, the Deputy Lead on Social Enterprise NHS Network, on All Parliamentary Working Group on Patient Safety, Special Advisor to the NHS Alliance and an Associate of KINGS FUND.
