Cynthia quote 1
quote

"I had no idea what to expect, but a friendly welcome awaited me. Members can chat together, share experiences and encourage each other. For some it is their one outing of the week. My legs are not in need of treatment at the moment, but I still visit the Club for a cup of tea and a chat with new friends."

The Foundation has been created to relieve suffering from problems of the lower limb and associated conditions  through the implementation of an award winning model that motivates and empowers individuals to take ownership of their care, alleviate their suffering and reduce the stigma attached to their condition. It also seeks to further advance education in all aspects of leg health among sufferers, carers, the general public and the healthcare professions.

Person centred care is a vital part of providing successful treatment for people with problems relating to the lower limb and chronic leg wounds.  In this report by The Lindsay Leg Club Foundation and the World Union of Healing Societies we are calling for the creation of a universal charter of individuals rights, to be adopted by all clinicians and healthcare professionals involved in the very complex world of lower limb treatment. This will not only transform individual care but will also help to reform policies at the highest level.

Support the Lindsay Leg Club through the new 2.6 Challenge

A new fundraising event has been set up to help support the many charities struggling during the Covid-19 pandemic and we’re calling on all our supporters to get involved.
The 2.6 Challenge has been set up as an alternative to this year’s Virgin London Marathon which normally raises millions of pounds for the UK’s charities.

Thank you from the Lindsay Leg Club Foundation

On behalf of the Trustees of The Lindsay Leg Club Foundation we would like to thank everyone who has donated so generously to our cause. We have raised over £5000 to date, and are continuing to receive donations. It has been a fantastic effort. Thank you so much for helping to keep our Leg Clubs going through this difficult period.

The Leg Club model of person-centred care has the potential to transform members lives by bringing them, clinicians and volunteers together in a unique setting.  Support such as yours to the Foundation is critical to enable us to continue our work throughout the UK, and further the development of new Leg Clubs so we can help even more people live better lives. Your support continues to allow us to do that and will be more appreciated than ever when we are through the current crisis and will value even more deeply the community in which we live.

The 20th Annual Leg Club Conference

Let's talk veins: an uphill journey

29 - 30 Sep 2021

Press release

The 2020 Annual Leg Club conference has now been rescheduled to 29 and 30 September 2021

We are going through a very difficult time throughout the world and are experiencing a crisis in which health has become the absolute priority.

For this reason, in line with the guidelines decreed by the UK Government, the 2020 annual Leg Club conference has been cancelled and will instead take place on September 29 and 30 2021.

It is a very painful decision, but the most important thing right now is to preserve the health of our speakers, delegates, healthcare exhibitors and volunteer supporters.

Frontline staff will also need respite and to spend time with their families and loved ones

We apologise for any inconvenience the cancellation of the conference may cause you, but we are sure that you will fully understand it, during this exceptional period.
