Dr Abdul Seckam moved from Zimbabwe to Cardiff in 2002 to study Biomedical Sciences and completed a PhD in 2016 specialising in evidence-based wound care. He is now Head of Research and Academia at Healthcare Business Solutions and co-developer of Stroke Hub Wales.

A long-standing supporter of the Lindsay Leg Club Foundation, Abdul’s research has highlighted the significant value Leg Clubs provide to members and has been presented internationally, including in Vienna, Kuala Lumpur, Zimbabwe, Madrid, and across the UK.

Abdul says: “I am pleased to be counted as a friend of the Foundation and recently had a piece of artwork auctioned at the annual Leg Club Conference.”

An accomplished artist and musician, Abdul’s work has been exhibited internationally and has helped raise funds for numerous charities, drawing inspiration from his appreciation of family and community.
