Gary Bain

Gary Bain has been a clinician and educator in the field of chronic wound management for the best part of three decades. He founded and headed The Wound Clinic at the Sydney Adventist Hospital from 1990 until its closure in 2015.

He is currently in private practice and Principal of The Wound Guy (www.thewoundguy.com.au) where he is nurse consultant and educator.

His current activities include providing wound management education to medical, nursing, allied-health and wound product industry personnel; providing clinical consultation to health professionals caring for patients in rural and remote areas of Australia & New Zealand; and acting as Master of Ceremonies / Host for health professional events and webinars.

Gary met Ellie Lindsay in Yokohama, Japan in 2012. Subsequently, Ellie presented at a conference in Sydney, Australia convened by Gary in 2013. Gary reciprocated by co-presenting (with Abdul Seckam) in a workshop series and also a plenary paper at the 2015 Leg Club Foundation Conference.
