Exciting News: A New International Association in Wound Care

We are delighted to announce an exciting new association between The Leg Club Foundation (Registered Charity No. 1111259) and Associació Jannu Ferides (Registration No. 631764), Spain.

Both organisations share a strong commitment to improving the lives of people affected by wounds and associated conditions through evidence-based, equitable and person-centred care.

Established in 2005, The Leg Club Foundation works to relieve the suffering associated with leg ulcers and related conditions by supporting the development of the award-winning Leg Club® model of care. The model empowers individuals to take ownership of their care while addressing the social and psychological impact of living with a leg ulcer. The Foundation also promotes education, innovation, early recognition and the use of the latest evidence, equipment and methods in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of leg problems.

Associació Jannu Ferides is a voluntary, non-profit organisation founded with an international mission: to help ensure that everyone, particularly people living in countries and settings with limited resources or experiencing marginalisation, can access safe, effective and equitable wound and skin-integrity care based on the best available scientific and technological evidence.

This association brings together two organisations with a shared vision: that high-quality wound care should be accessible to everyone, regardless of geography, religion, gender, ability or ability to pay.

By combining expertise, experience, education and international networks, the collaboration will create opportunities to share knowledge, promote best practice, support healthcare professionals and ultimately improve outcomes and quality of life for people living with wounds.

This is an important step towards building a more connected international wound-care community—one where collaboration, compassion, evidence and equity are at the heart of everything we do.
