Jacqui Fletcher OBE

Jacqui Fletcher is currently Senior Clinical Advisor for the Stop the Pressure Programme (NHS England and NHS Improvement), she also has her own clinical consultancy business and is the clinical editor for Wounds UK Journal.   She has previously been the Clinical Strategy Director for the Welsh Wound Innovation Centre and Principal Lecturer in The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work at the University of Hertfordshire. She is also a past Fellow of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

She has an honorary clinical contract with Hertfordshire Primary Care Trust and has recently worked clinically with East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust to support the COVID 19 work. . Prior to this she worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Tissue Viability in an integrated Trust in West Yorkshire from 1992 – 1996 and as Professional Development Lead for Salford Royal Hospitals NHS Trust from 1996 – 1997. In 1997 Jacqui moved into the Higher Education sector where she has lead both a BSc and MSc in Tissue Viability.

Jacqui is also a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for International Wounds Journal, the Journal of Wound Care and Wounds UK journal. She has published widely and speaks at both national and international conferences. She is an advisor for the Royal College of Nursing and actively participates in many projects for the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence. (NICE).
