Sylvie Hampton, MA, BSc (Hons), DpSN, RGN

Sylvie Hampton Sylvie qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in 1990 and following an interest in wound healing and pressure ulcer prevention she became a Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist at Eastbourne Hospitals NHS Trust.
After four and a half years as a Nurse Specialist, Sylvie and a colleague formed the Tissue Viability Consultancy Services Ltd (TVCS – which later became Wound Healing Centres UK Ltd) an independent service for research into wound healing and pressure ulcer prevention. In her role as Managing Director of Wound Healing Centres UK Ltd, Sylvie has also worked on evaluating products, assisting with product development, developing local and national policies in wound care and offering pressure ulcer and wound care services to nursing homes and to the NHS.

She has taught different levels of education and presented throughout the UK. Sylvie also developed a Foundation Degree Module in wound care for Health Care Assistants and inexperienced qualified nurses and podiatrists. Sylvie has a passion for wound care that has not diminished over the 25 years of treating wounds and caring for patients.
