David Dawson

David worked in the healthcare sector for over 35 years. He initially trained as a registered nurse before joining the medical device sector.

During this time, David gained an MBA in Cambridge and has worked in sales, marketing and market access positions.

These were within the UK and Europe covering numerous disease states including renal, urology/continence, orthopaedics, diagnostics, vascular, oncology, GI surgery and infection prevention.

This diverse background has been across both the hospital and community settings which provided a broad and varied insight into the important variations between the two.

David represented Becton Dickinson (BD) within the UK medical device Trade Associations and held both chair and vice chair roles. He was also a Medical Technology Group Committee member and Honorary Treasurer for over 10 years.

Outside of work, David has always been happy to lend a hand in his local community, having been a parish councillor and trustee for local Alms-houses.

David retired in December 2025 from BD and is now looking forward to continuing to use his experience in supporting where he can.
